Quick Answers.
What should i do if my AC Stops working suddenly?
If your AC stops working, first check the thermostat settings and replace the batteries. Then check your electrical panel for a tripped breaker — reset it once. Check the air filter and replace if dirty. Inspect the outdoor unit to make sure it's running and not blocked by debris. If none of these restore cooling, turn the system off to prevent further damage and call an HVAC technician for a diagnostic visit.
Why is my AC running but not cooling the house?
If your AC runs but doesn't cool, the most common causes are low refrigerant (a leak), a frozen evaporator coil from restricted airflow, a failing compressor, a dirty condenser coil outdoors, or an oversized/undersized unit. Check your air filter first — a clogged filter is the easiest fix. If the filter is clean, shut the system off and call an HVAC technician to avoid compressor damage.
Why is my AC leaking water inside the house?
Water leaking from an AC unit inside the home is usually caused by a clogged condensate drain line, a dirty evaporator coil that has frozen and thawed, low refrigerant, or an incorrectly installed unit. A clogged drain is the most common cause and can often be cleared quickly by a technician. Left untreated, water leaks cause drywall damage and mold growth — call for service promptly.
