Air Filter

An air filter is a device that removes pollutants from the air. It is typically made of a mesh or paper that traps particles as air passes through it. Air filters are used in a variety of applications, including homes, offices, and factories.

There are many different types of air filters available, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Some common types of air filters include:

  • Pleated filters : These are the most common type of air filter. They are made of a pleated paper that traps particles as air passes through it. Pleated filters are relatively inexpensive and easy to replace.
  • HEPA filters: These Filters are more efficient than pleated filters at removing small particles, such as dust mites and pollen. HEPA filters are often used in home with people who have allergies or asthma
  • Carbon filters: These filters remove gases and odors from the air. They are often used in homes with pets or smokers.

Air filters should be replaced regularly, as they become clogged with particles over time. The frequency of filter replacement will depend on the type of filter, the level of use, and the quality of the air in your home or office.

Air filters are an important part of maintaining good indoor air quality. By choosing the right type of filter and replacing it regularly, you can help to reduce the risk of respiratory problems, allergies, and other health problems.

Here are some additional tips for choosing and using air filters:

  • Choose the right size filter for your HVAC system. The filter should fit snugly in the air filter housing.
  • Replace filters according to the manufacturer's instructions. Filters should be replaced more often if the air quality in your home is poor.
  • Rinse the washable filter through clean water.
  • Do not use a dirty filter. A dirty filter can actually make indoor air quality worse.
  • Consider using a high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter. HEPA filters can remove 99.97% of airborne particles that are 0.3 microns or larger in size.
  • If you have allergies or asthma, talk to your doctor about using an air filter. Air filters can help to reduce exposure to allergens and irritants.
  • If you have pets, consider using a carbon filter. Carbon filters can remove pet dander and other allergens from the air.
  • Keep your air filter clean and free of dust. A clean filter will work more efficiently and will last longer.
  • Inspect the filter for any damage. If the filter is damaged, it will need to be replaced.

The technicians were great! They explained everything they did before they did it. They suggested reasonable options for remedies and gave guidance rather than just advocating for the most expensive fix. Very responsive, kind, and respectful. Would absolutely use this company's service in the future.

Working with Breeze Master was exactly that... a breeze. They provided incredible professionalism to get my water heater resolved. It first started off with just a thermocouple repair. Once that was replaced, Breeze Master provided great attention to detail to notice the issue was not fixed. They found it was the valve that needed replacement. What did they do? Instantly looked to see who had the piece, picked it up and replaced it in the same day. The result? An extremely satisfied customer getting his water heater fixed and the ability to take hot showers and enjoy the three day weekend. If you ever need any HVAC services from this company, I can say with no doubt that you are in amazing hands. This is now my go to HVAC company if I need any assistance for my house.
